# 27: Swim The Great Barrier Reef

Not only did I swim in the GBR ... I Scuba'd it ... Twice.

This is something that I am extremely grateful to have crossed off my list.
My sister organized probably the best month of my life in Australia and this was in the mix.

We took a day trip out of Cairns to the Reef and swam, snorkelled and scuba dove with the turtles, fishies and sharks (much to my fear). My sis and I went down for the first time ever and were naturals at scubaing, but Brit got a bit claustrophobic after our guide took us UNDER the boat and she looked up ... so that was it for her but I went down a second time in a different location. The photo is from the second time I went down while Brit patrolled the deck. Then she proceeded to snorkel stalk me from the face of the water. She probably saw more than me by staying at the top of the water but I fell in love with Scuba Diving so I was happy!

# 75: Ride A Camel

I did it ... In sandals and all! To tell the truth ... I could NOT stop laughing.
Me and my sister shared the camel and the guy in the photo was guiding it.
The camel went around this pen and it was RUNNING! I thought for sure I was going to fall off!!
It was incredibly uncomfortable and I was kind of terrified but me and Brit were laughing so hard so it made it really fun.
The guide must have thought we were drunk.
This happened at a bus stop at a little Emu farm/gas station on our ride back from Uluru to Alice Springs in Oz.
Definitely a highlight!

# 93: Be in a Food Fight

This was such a fun day ... it was supposed to be a water fight. As it escalated we ended up with red frosting, eggs, beans and flour all over us. Lets just say we got a few funny looks walking to the beach!

# 16: Live on a different continent

So basically, for the past year of my life (feb/5/10-feb/5/11) i've been living in Bondi,Sydney,Australia. Definitely the most fun year of my life. I met incredible people, lived beside the beach with two insanely awesome girls, had a great job, lots of fun and then on top of it got to hang out/travel for one month with my best friend Ashley and then the next month travel all over Australia with my best friend/sister Brittany! I couldn't have asked for a better life experience and I know I will really miss Australia ... because it is legendary.

# 15: Own a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes

Ok ... lets be serious, because this is very serious. Above is a shoe that I actually own ... along with its companion. I don't want to sound like a prissy bitch but .... OMFG.
In 2008 a movie called Sex and the City came out. In this movie there was a pair of Manolo's that I fell in love with. It's not just the shoe, but the way it was included in the story that made it magic.
I don't want to sound like a sucker for product placement but in this case ... well I don't really care.
The only problem is ... where do you wear shoes that nice?

# 10: Bartend at a Pub in a foreign country

So I knew in moving to Sydney that i'd need a job, and as the many travellers who's footsteps i was following in probably thought too, the hospitality industry seemed like the best choice. I'd sent out what seemed like a million CV's to various places and finally got an interview with a place in Darlinghurst called The Local, a haven for beer lovers. I got past the first interview and secured a try out. Let's just say I didn't get the job ... BUT as it was the only time i've ever been behind the bar at a pub, I can say with confidence I was meant to drink beer, not serve it!
