# 30: See Something at the Sydney Opera House

I thought about doing this one a lot back in Canada. I went to Australia when I was 9 with my family and distinctly remember a lot of the trip ... which for me is special because I forget everything. One part was going to see the Opera House. Only from the outside, but I still remember attempting to climb the walls. I always really wanted to go in and watch something.

So since I am currently residing in Sydney, I knew that I would eventually attend a performance, and last night I did.

In the first week that I got here my brother and I were walking around doing tourist things and decided to go to the Opera House to see what was on. He told me the only way he was going to see an opera was if Bocelli was singing .... surprisingly he wasn't. A Midsummer Night's Dream was on though so I convinced him, eventually, to buy tickets.

It was such a great experience. I've been to countless concerts in my life, opera is something else! How anyones voice can do that is so amazing. It was a good production, directed by Baz Luhrmann (so great), it was moving, funny, emotional.

I am so happy I had the opportunity to do this and am hoping to go back to the Opera House again soon ...
